About Us

WE, the sons and daughters and indigenes of Mbaitoli, Imo State of Nigeria, living and/or working in various States and localities in the United States of America, being fully committed to the honest advocacy, pursuit, and actual practice and living of the life of love, peace, unity, togetherness, cooperation, understanding and justice among and between ourselves in all matters of common communal interest to us and to Mbaitloli, Imo State and Nigeria, do hereby unanimously resolve to constitute ourselves into a formal Union and Organization for the purpose of pursuing and actualizing these goals and ideals for all Mbaitoli people here in the New England and in Mbaitoli, and elsewhere, and to be governed and regulated by our CONSTITUTION.

ARTICLE 1: NAME AND LEGAL STATUS The name of this Organization shall be MBAITOLI ASSOCIATION OF NEW ENGLAND Inc., The Organization shall be a U.S.-based, non-profit civic, educational and charitable entity.

ARTICLE 2: MOTTO The motto of the Association shall be: NINE TOWNS, ONE COMMITMENT [PROGRESS]

OUR MISSION: Among other objectives, this association is:

(a) To educate and enlighten the general public about MBAITOLI  PEOPLE AND CULTURE through lectures, publications, seminars and cultural exhibitions. To help the poor, the needy, the homeless and the sick in our midst through fundraising drives and other outreach programs.

(b) To promote unity, cooperation, tolerance and social interaction amongst ourselves and our neighbors.

(c) To engage in such other purposes as are permissible under the laws and the constitution of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the constitution of the United States of America and the culture and tradition of Igbo land, and the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

(d) To educate and enlighten the general public about Mbaitoli people, culture through lectures, publications, seminars and cultural exhibitions.

(e) To help the poor, the needy, the homeless and the sick in our midst through fund raising drives and other outreach programs. To help in renovation of targetted schools within Mbaitoli local government and health care.

(f) To promote unity, cooperation , tolerance and social interaction amongst ourselves and our neighbors.
