The Mbaitoli Local Government Headquarter is at Orieubi. It is located along Owerri/Orlu Road from Owerri, Imo State Capital. As the name implies, it is made up of nine towns (Mba-itoli) namely:

Ubomiri
Umunoha
Afara
Eziama
Ogbaku
